Rona Maynard – Let’s Talk
RonaMaynard.com is the website and online community for Rona Maynard, a Canadian author and former editor of Chatelaine magazine. The website launched to coincide with the publication of her 2007 book My Mother’s Daughter.
As developer, I adapted the graphic design provided by Strange Duck Media, built a custom Content Management System, and integrated a number of unique features to help make the site an interactive community. These included:
- A visitor photo and story gallery, with automatic thumbnail creation and full moderation.
- Enhanced comment handling, with ability for the client to respond to selected comments and mark some as “favourites”.
- A dynamic front page that highlights new content from various sections of the site.
- Integration with Feedburner.com tools for RSS and email subscriptions.

Wow this game looks uber. How is a worker bee supposed to get any learning done with amazing distractions like this?!?!
